Photoshoot Plan

 Material to be shot:

I will have one girl for the front cover of my magazine, and all of the double pages spreads. In one DPS, in particular the ‘teenage stress – drugs and alcohol misuse’ I will have 3 – 4 different models as I think it would be more appropriate.

What personnel do you need?

Lighting assistant:
Makeup assistant: Myself
Models: Ellie Jackson, Ellie Booth, Emma Crawford, Ashley Ruddam

What props will you need?

I will need bottles of alcohol for my teenage stress – drugs and alcohol misuse’ and a baby doll for my teenage pregnancy pictures and blanket. I have potentially thought about using a pushchair as and baby bottle as props as well to make sure that I get the most amount of better pictures that I can, then at the end I can look through them and decide which one fits in better with the colour and the layout.

Describe in detail your make-up & costume needs. (Include reference material to illustrate your needs)

My make up needs for the front cover, teenage pregnancy and body dysmorphia will all be similar. I would like to create the image of natural beauty and confidence by wearing clothes that will show off her figure, but still very classy and sophisticated. I will have her wearing the bare minimum of make up as i want to show that girls don’t need to have a lot of make-up to look nice, and i want it to be a window for the future self for other girls to look at and take inspiration.
For the teenage stress article (drugs and alcohol misuse) i will be using very different clothing to portray the image in a dark light. The girls will be wearing very dark make-up and clothes which do not suit them, and are far too revealing. I don’t want them to look very nice and would like there eye make up dark and heavy, and running down their face as they have lost control of their awareness and cannot manage to sort themselves out, connoting the bad lighting as a dark state that no-one would want to be in.

Studio shoots: what kind of lighting?
(include reference material to illustrate your needs)

For all of my images I will be using butterfly lighting to enhance the beauty of my models and make them look soft and sweet, fitting in with the target audience. As the lighting enhances the features it will make them look confident like a window to the future self.  For my ‘teenage stress – drugs and alcohol misuse’ pictures I will use narrow lighting to darken the image and make the models look darker showing them in a bad light.

Backdrop:

All of my backdrops will be white, I will potentially use a black one for my ‘teenage stress – drugs and alcohol misuse’ article pictures.

Lighting equipment needs:
Reflector
Soft Box
